Dayton Superior to sponsor Kris Krabill in 2017

Dayton Superior Racing Announces 2017 Sponsorship of Nitro Funny Car Champion
Dayton, Ohio February 7, 2017 – Dayton Superior Corporation has announced the 2017 Dayton Superior Racing sponsorship of Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car champion driver, Kris Krabill of the Austin O’Brien race team. For the 2017 season, Krabill will be behind the wheel of a Dayton Superior-branded car featuring a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro body style. Krabill’s race rig and fire suit will also carry the Dayton Superior brand.
The Dayton Superior Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car boasts a 4,000 horsepower, nitromethane- burning engine built off an all-aluminum 426 Hemi. The car is owned by Hall of Fame driver Bucky Austin along with Mike and Jeanette O’Brien.

Driver Kris Krabill began his racing career at age 16. In 2006, Krabill debuted in his Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car rookie season. In 2016, Dayton Superior Racing’s inaugural sponsor year, Krabill joined the ranks as only the 6th Nitro Funny Car driver to surpass 260 mph with his run of 5.552 seconds at 261 mph in a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) race in Bakersfield, California. In addition to his record-setting run, Krabill also became the NHRA Heritage Series Nitro Funny Car Champion.

Krabill’s first race event of the 2017 season in the Dayton Superior-branded car is the Good Vibrations March Meet at the Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California, March 2 through 5.
