Kris Krabill Takes 2006 Goodguys Nostalgia Funny Car Championship Crown

Kris Krabill, shoe for Gary Turner’s “Pedaler” Arrow bodied Nostalgia Funny Car, clinched the 2006 Goodguys Nostalgia Funny Car Class Championship. Krabill, in his rookie year has an undefeated record in competition. Krabill won the Pomona Nitro Nationals and won his semi final round at the 8th Annual Fuel and Gas Finals before parts breakage ended his day. The team has also won the Inaugural Old Tucson Dragway Reunion held earlier this year in Tucson AZ.

Donnie Couch has tuned Gary Turner’s “Pedaler” flopper during Krabills rookie season and has done an outstanding job. He tuned Krabill to the #3 spot on the Auto Meter AA/FC 5 Second Club earlier this year in Pomona. Couch also tuned Krabill to the only 5 second pass by a Nostalgia Funny Car in Spokane Washington earlier this summer. Only one other funny car was in the 5 second zone, and that was a late model flopper.

Gary Turner, owner of the “Pedelar” Arrow Nostalgia Funny Car, has been involved in drag racing for over 30 years. He has owned many drag racing vehicles over the years, and all have sported the name “Pedaler”. This is also Turners first year in Nostalgia Funny Car competition.

Having an experienced crew is a prime ingredient in making these tempramental floppers tick. Turner has the best crew in the class.

Ray Porter – Assistant Crew Chief – Owner of his own fabrication and engine building shop has brought great experience and knowledge to the team.

Scott Sharp – Engine – Sharp brings the team over 15 years of experience in drag racing. Sharp is also involved with Dennis Murphy’s CIFCA racing team.

Jeff Tildahl – Bottom End – Tildahl brings over 10 years drag racing experience to the team. He has also driven in the CIFCA Funny Car Series and won Rookie of the Year, and was the CIFCA Champ in 2005.

Nostalgia Funny Car News would like to Congratulate the “Pedaler” Nostalgia Funny Car Team on a well deserved Goodguys Nostalgia Funny Car Championship this year.
